I jumped off the street cars that cross the bridge in the middle of the picture and wandered up the nice tree-lined street beside the canal. This shot looks back towards the city centre over the unfrozen canal. On the other side of the bridge upon which I am standing, the canal is frozen and leads majestically towards the ostentatious Nyphenberg Palace. The ice is being cleared, and the first children are starting to skate. Further along Eischtuk players are hard at play. Such are the priorities in München.
