I stayed at a pleasant little hotel in the Lehel district of Munich. It was conveniently located on the U-Bahn. Lehel is a charming urban residential district. I took this shot looking up the street, after a morning snowfall. On the right, was a very friendly little apothetek where, with efficiency, they dispensed an astonishing assortment of remedies. In the next block was a convenient little supermarket that provided me with my daily requirements of water and fruit juices, as well as an assortment of other goodies. To my back about half a block is the charming gasthaus that served a wide assortment of delicious meals in the finest atmosphere I found in all of Munich. The little pub was decorated lavishly for the season with beautifully wrapped presents hug upside down from the ceiling along with a Christmas tree. The proprietors were a couple of ladies who did their best to cope with my rather insufficient German, with their much better english. The place was packed every day of the week and I met a number of interesting individuals.
